Pastels and floral prints are everywhere, along with some suprising sales. I scoured the racks at some of the most popular boutiques to bring you my favorites. Click on the picture to see a larger image.
I started my search at the most expensive venue, Heery’s
Clothes Closet on the corner of College Avenue and Clayton Street, and instantly fell in love with this cotton print dress that ties in the back. This cut has been in all year, but this dress is light and airy, so you’ll stay cool when the weather heats up. $123 by Language Los Angeles.
Viva la México! This dress, also at Heery’s, is a splurge, but well worth it. Perfect for a tropical Spring Break destination. $238 by BCBG Max Azria. ($216 at Encore, next door)I loved the combination of teal and black — showing up all
across town this season — in this piece. Animal prints are making a big presence this spring, and I thought this print would be a nice alternative if leopard isn’t your style. $202 by BCBG Max Azria. ($132 at Encore)The most unique top I stumbled upon was this burnt red halter,
featuring rope ties, at Fortson’s on Clayton Street. It’s a hip take on the nautical style that reappears in the spring. The label says “Made in Paradise,” but this top’s Modal/Spandex blend is so soft, it feels like paradise! $130 by Fighting Eel. For the thrifty spender, I found a great deal on tank tops at Cillie’s Clothing. In an array of bright colors, these tanks will look great over a swim suit or layered with one another. Only $7.99 by Spearx.
